Raw materials storage

Once the raw material is unloaded, it is stored in silos, cells, big-bags or tanks.

Milling

It is necessary to grind the grains before mixing with the rest of the raw materials to facilitate their homogenisation.

Granulation or pelletisation

A mechanical process in which large objects are cut or shredded and formed into granules or pellets.

Conditioning

After granulation, warm, humid feed enters the cooling system. There may be an accumulation of material and risk of bacteria growth. Temperature must be carefully controlled at this stage, and we have to make sure that the air entering the cooler comes from a sanitary area.

Sieving

Screens separate the granule (good product) from the disaggregated flours that are merely recirculated with the flour to be pelletised.

Material handling

During the process of feed production, materials are unloaded, distributed and transported within the facility. Material handling throughout the process can be done in different ways, depending on the products, how they are supplied and their distribution.
